Normand Albert Guerin passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the St. Vincent de Paul Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was 72 years old.
Born in Berlin, NH on November 25, 1944 he was the son of John and Ida (Lavoie) Guerin.
On May 23, 1970 he married Louise Bouchard and together they raised two children.
Normand served in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1967. He later worked for Pulp and Paper of American in the Maintenance Department. He also served as an Auxiliary Policeman.
He was a loving Husband, Father and Grandfather. He enjoyed dancing, bowling, playing cards, hunting, fishing and enjoyed going to the beach. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his grandson Jack Guerin; brothers Leo, Raymond, Dennis and Armand, his sisters Dolores Drouin and Christine Supry.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 47 years, Louise Bouchard Guerin; a son Michael Guerin and fiancé Jessica Cushman of Woonsocket, RI; a daughter Melissa Simmons and husband Jon of Windham, NH; two grandchildren Kyra Guerin and Rylee Simmons; brothers Robert Guerin and wife Jeanne of Berlin and Donald Guerin and wife Louise of Berlin; a sister Marie-Rose Bisson and husband Robert of Milan, NH; several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017 at St. Kierans Church on 155 Emery Street at 2:00pm. Callings hours will be prior to the service from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at St. Kierans Church.
